Comment policy

Venerable Vintage Press (VVP) has established the following comment policy for use in VVP's Blog. Please read before responding to VVP content or the discussions generated by that content.

First - Welcome to Venerable Vintage Press! We are truly glad you've dropped in. And pleased that you want to comment.

Well-meaning comments about the site and its contents are invited through the Disqus link in the VVP Blog. You can add your comments by clicking on an individual Blog post headline. The Disqus comment box will be at the bottom of that post.

Comments can come with a full range of emotions. But there are limits. Be friendly, even while being critical of something you have seen or read here. Above all, add to the conversation and to our knowledge of the subject matter. Be constructive, even supportive if so inclined. Read before commenting.

Bring your unique presence. Be polite.

This is a community-friendly site, and although we want to encourage a broad range of input, this is not an advertising platform. Not everything is fair game. Confine your comments to the subject at hand. We will take serious measures to remove or prevent spam.

If you quote others, or cite other sources, include the reference. VVP is all about giving original sources their due. And it is easier to fact check that way. We want your opinions, but if they are built on someone else’s, it would be helpful if you mentioned that source.

In order to facilitate a good discussion, we reserve the right to delete harmful or off-topic comments, and if necessary, block users who mis-use the opportunity to share.

“Keep your comments civil and substantive.” (to quote a piece from the Grist site)
